Argyle House
White Elegance
High performance in a small footprint, energy efficiency was key behind the design of this small infill house. Utilising a detailed thermal envelope with both an external and internal air barrier and a services cavity separate to the main exterior walls maximises the insulation provided, creating a tightly controlled thermal envelope. The house is organised around the open plan living space, which flows into a small sitting nook at the end which can be shut off to provide a cosy retreat. The master bedroom makes great use of the available space while also maximising exposure to the northerly aspect. A separate guest bedroom with ensuite completes this 2 bedroom house. The exterior is simple and designed to fit within the urban fabric of the street, dominated by single storey bungalows with weatherboard cladding and traditional window sill and facing boards completing the look.
